RIGA NATO SUMMIT 2006

Dedicated to my team and friends

This web-site proudly presents an alternative coverage of Riga NATO Summit events, witnessed by 17 volunteers from around 600 available and selected from 2 500 applied. Thus, representing 0,68% of a total army force=)

Being engaged in realisation of various missions starting from 23 November 2006, this particular team has dedicated its time and efforts for the benefit of: European Broadcasting Union (Eurovision), Latvian Television, Radio & TV studios, as well as all those lost & found & redirected in the corridors of NATO Summit Press Center.

While organisation of this Summit was in professional hands of Latvian Task Force workers operating on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, Latvian Government, its President and nation as a whole - we would like to thank our team supervisor, Ieva Kalnina, for her professionalism, humanity and excellent leadership style.

Looking forward to further cooperation, other public events, and simply continuation of friendship born under such political circumstances, we cannot deny the fact that North Atlantic Alliance Summit not only marked a historic event here in Riga, but also brought new experience and emotions for those affiliated as close as us.

NATO-RIGA 1:1

В Риге произошла стычка между солдатами НАТО и жителями. Версии обеих участвовавших в инциденте сторон различаются. Изображение с сайта NATO:

В воскресенье, 26 ноября, в Старой Риге произошла стычка между мирными жителями столицы и солдатами НАТО, прибывшими в город для организации мер безопасности на саммите Североатлантического альянса. Пресс-служба сил НАТО пока что отказывается сообщать о пострадавших жителях, сообщает Латвийское радио. Сейчас проводится расследование инцидента, поэтому не разглашается, военнослужащие какой именно страны участвовали в конфликте.

А были ли пострадавшие жители?=)
